Lindy Perry-Garnette

Lindy Perry-Garnette, MSW was selected as the Executive Director of The Arc of Greensboro in July 2021. She has over 35 years of experience in human services management in the nonprofit sector as well as in local government and has a life-long passion for advocating for those who need a voice. Lindy began her career developing and managing residential and supported employment opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities I/DD. She holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. Lindy serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor for the University of Maryland Global College, where she teaches Diversity Awareness and Disability Studies. In addition to her professional work, Lindy is the parent of an adult son with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges.
